London (United Kingdom), 23 rd January 2019 – Dacia is celebrating as it picked up two wins in the annual What Car? organised since 1978 by the famous British car magazine.
The Sandero triumphed for the seventh-consecutive year, winning ‘Best Small Car for less than £12,000’. Six years on from its UK launch the model still represents ‘shockingly affordable’ value. Priced from £6,995, the Sandero is well-equipped and also benefits from low running costs. Steve Huntingford, What Car? Editor and jury member said:
“The Sandero offers exceptional value, particularly in mid-level Essential trim. And no car available for similar money has anything like as much space and practicality.”
The All-New Dacia Duster was awarded the title of ‘Best Family SUV for less than £18,000’. Steve Huntingford said:
“There really are very few cars on sale in any class that can match the Duster’s value-for-money offering. It has loads of room inside, a good boot, and the 1.5-litre diesel model is punchy too.”
The jury mentioned its new exterior styling with a totally revised dashboard and its interior that provides enhanced comfort and quality. Equipment available on the Duster includes options never before available on the Dacia range such as keyless entry, climate control, a Blind Spot Warning system and a Multiview Camera.
Speaking on the latest award wins for the brand, Louise O’Sullivan, Head of Dacia UK , said:
“It’s a terrific accolade for the Sandero to have won this What Car? Award in every year that it’s been on sale. We’re proud of the car and the most satisfying thing is that the customers love it too. The All-New Duster has been launched to strong critical acclaim and continues Dacia’s ethos of offering quality cars at exceptional value-for-money prices.”
