Third victory in a row: The Alpine A110 once again wins the prestigious "Best Car 2021" award. Readers of the magazine "auto, motor und sport" voted Alpine A110 the winner in the "sports car" category (import rating). The readers' poll was held for the 45th time. Participants were able to vote for their favorites in eleven categories.
The title of "Best Car 2021" adds to the already numerous awards for the Alpine A110. For the second consecutive year, the model was named "Sports Car of the Year" at the WHAT CAR? 2020 Awards in the UK, as well as "Performance Car of the Year" by BBC TopGear Magazine.
In the coming years, Alpine will expand its product range. In addition to its focus on Formula 1, Alpine intends to develop new high-performance, innovative and purely electric sports cars. In doing so, the new Alpine business unit will draw on the complete technical expertise of the Renault Group and the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance. In the future, the Alpine Cars, Renault Sport Cars and Renault Sport Racing divisions will join forces under the umbrella of the new Alpine business unit.
Founded in 1955 by Jean Rédélé, the brand has set itself apart with its French-style sports cars. In 2018, the brand presents the new A110, a sports car faithful to Alpine’s timeless principles of compactness, lightness, agility and driving pleasure. In 2021, Alpine Cars, Renault Sport Cars and Renault Sport Racing join forces under the Alpine flagship. It thus becomes the avant-garde brand of Groupe Renault, benefiting from the heritage and craftmanship of its historic plant in Dieppe, as well as the engineering mastery from the Formula One and Renault Sport teams.
